Beulah B. Dennis, 100, Oblong, Illinois passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Ridgeview Care Center, Oblong, IL.
Beulah was born on May 29, 1914 in Prairie Township, Crawford County, Illinois near Annapolis. She was the daughter of Charles and Gertrude (Rockwell) Boyles and was the oldest of four children. Beulah was married to Aaron “Mike” Dennis, May 2, 1935 and lived in Oblong Township where they farmed near White Oak until 1960. The family moved to Hoffman Estates, Illinois where they stayed until retirement in 1972, when they returned to Robinson, Illinois. Mike died in 1973 and Beulah moved to Crystal Lake, Illinois in 1975, then returned to Oblong in 1989.
Beulah was a farm wife and homemaker, member of White Oak Church until 1960 and upon returning to Oblong in 1989 became a member of First Christian Church, Oblong, Illinois.
Beulah is survived by her only son and daughter-in-law Charles “Ted” and Patricia Dennis of Crystal Lake, Illinois; two grandchildren James Dennis of Denver, Colorado and Melissa and Scott Kennen of Algonquin, Illinois and four great-grandchildren Ashley, Kelton, Kyle and Aubrey Kennen.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother Earl Boyles and two sisters Ruby Smith and Isabelle Hall.
